In Memoriam

We dedicate this page, in loving memory, to the Brothers of Mount Calvary Lodge No. 76 who have laid down the working tools of this life. May they come before the Great Architect of the Universe and be welcomed as good men and worthy craftsmen.

Our dearly beloved, Otha Lee Everage, departed this life on January 2, 2023, at his residence in Akron, Ohio after a long illness.

He was born on August 30, 1940, in Flora, MS to the late Walter Lee and Cletora Everage.

Otha is survived and missed by his loving wife, Elnora of 63 years; daughter, Sandra D. McCurry (David); bonus son, Shannon Phillips all of Akron, Ohio; forever cherished and remembered by his siblings and their families, brothers, Larry and Harry of Mississippi and Victor of California; sisters, Alice and Juanita of Mississippi and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Otha was preceded in death by his father, Walter Lee; mother, Cletora; sister, Glories and brothers, Bobby Ray and Walter Jr.

In 1960, Otha relocated to Akron, Ohio and worked for Chrysler Corporation for 35 years.

His legacy will carry on forever reminding us that self-education is a powerful tool to deepen one's knowledge. Otha's entrepreneurial endeavors and devotion to health and wellness are an inspiration to us all.
